Aida Stovall, 97, of Jacksonville passed away August 4, 2023. She was born June 22, 1926 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Edward and Victoria (Gurule) Carter. In addition to her parents, Aida was welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband, Gordon William Stovall, her daughters, infant Bobbie Lee Stovall, Wilma Folse, Ramona Limon, and Betty Harris; and two siblings.
In her spare time, Aida loved going to church, spending time with her family and supervising her family's canning process. She enjoyed giving a helping hand to those in need, and took great pride in feeding the homeless.
Those left to cherish the memories of Aida include her children, Lori (Lewis) Cavatorta Smith, Floyd Stovall, Larry Stovall, Brenda (Robert) Lund, Viola Stovall, and Gordon Charles (Jacqueline) Stovall; one brother, Orlando (Velma) Gurule; and over one hundred grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Old Rugged Cross Church (7560 HWY 321, Ward, Arkansas, 72027). Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be the evening prior to the service, Thursday, August 10, 2023 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
