Alberta "Bert" Helen Hubbard, 98, passed away April 12, 2026. She was born September 6, 1927 in Burlington, Iowa to the late Fred and Virginia (Bloomer) Trosen. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hubbard; daughter, Nancy Crain-Brown; grandson, Bryan Kye; and eight siblings, James, Dor, Floyd, Isabell, Wallace, Rosie, Fred, and Ray.

Bert was one of a kind. She was kind-hearted and always there when her family needed her. She could be a little hard-headed at times, but that was just part of what made her strong.

Bert was one of the oldest members of her church and truly one of the most loved. She loved the Lord with all her heart and stayed faithful to her church all her days.

Back in her younger days, she loved to dance and go roller skating. Later on, she still knew how to have a good time. She loved traveling, trips to the casino, and getting together with her Bunko girls and birthday lunch groups. She also held her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, close to her heart.

More than anything, Bert loved her family. They meant the world to her and she made sure they knew it every single day.

Left to cherish Bert's memory are, her daughter, Janet Hubbard; four grandchildren, Ryan Kye, Joy (Doug) McIntire, Wendy (Kenny) Burroughs, and Tara (Kyle) Field; nineteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Clark; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation is one hour prior, beginning at 9:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Kenneth, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
