Alice Kohrs, 96, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully March 3, 2026. She was born June 18, 1929 in Iowa to the late Ray and Ruth Hall. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kohrs; three brothers, Leroy Hall, Lloyd Hall, and Argie Hall; and son, Gary Kohrs.

Growing up during and after the great depression, Alice understood hard work. As a young woman, she worked hard on a farm with her family. Later, she found joy in many hobbies. She enjoyed baking, puzzles, crocheting, sewing, gardening, fishing, and car races. Her dogs and cats were her treasured companions over the years.

Left to cherish Alice's memory are her children, Robert (Linda) Kohrs and Cathy (Miltos) Diakogeorgiou; daughter in law, Dana Kohrs; one sister, Evelyn Rippey; grandchildren, Haroula (Gianni) Aristeidou, Dianna (Keith) Musgrove, Stacy (Mike) Graham, Shelley (Brandon) Tounzen, Tim (Rachel) Kohrs, Bruce (Vanessa) Kohrs, Brian (Courtney) Kohrs and one bonus grandson, Thomas Utley; nineteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior, starting at 1:00 p.m. Alice will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
