Alma Jean Gennings, 74, of Jacksonville passed away September 9, 2023. She was born March 10, 1949 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to the late Russell and Allie Mae (Sentell) Freeling. In addition to her parents, Alma was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her son, Little Randy Gennings. Alma loved her family dearly and had a strong faith in the Lord. She will be remembered for all the times she watched the Hallmark Channel while sipping her favorite drink, Diet Pepsi.

Those left to cherish the memories of Alma include her daughter, Dana (Tim Pittman) Witkowski; brother, James (Annie) Freeling Sr.; two nephews, Bryan (Tina) and Jimmy (Dina) Freeling Jr.; as well as a host of cousins.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Alma will be laid to rest next to her son, Randy, whom she's been waiting to be reunited with since 1982.
