Alphonse "Al" Guidry, Jr., 52, of North Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. He was born May 9, 1969 in Camden to the late Alphonse and Loretta Carter Guidry. Al graduated from Fairview High School in Camden, and attended and graduated from the Nashville Auto and Diesel College located in Nashville, Tennessee. He was certified and worked as a diesel mechanic. He loved to eat at Waffle House and Golden Corral. Al was an incredibly caring person, anything you needed, especially when it involved car troubles, you could always count on him to be there for you. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him, especially by his wife, Vanessa, whom he loved dearly and cherished until his last breath. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his loving dog, Rosie.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over thirty years, Vanessa Long Gilmore; his children, Shelby Guidry, Dustin (Jamie) Gilmore and Samantha Gilmore; his sisters, Connie (Marlin) Daniels, DeAnna (Randy) Sharp, Laura (Mike) Forrest and Denise Guidry Freeman; his brothers, Dennis (Katherine) Guidry, Larry Guidry, Allen (Candy) Guidry; his five grandchildren, Lucky Gilmore, Jordan Winston, Tristan Winston, Eli Gilmore and Harrison Gilmore and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Al at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 14510 Cedar Heights Road, North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in memory of Al Guidry to The Bridgeway Rehabilitation Clinic, 21 Bridgeway Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
