Alphonso
Pompa
Sep 7, 1958 — Dec 8, 2020
North Little Rock
Alphonso Pompa, 62, of North Little Rock, went to be with his Lord December 8, 2020. He was born in September 7, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Idelfonso "Chico" and Maria "Cruz" Pompa.
On any given day, you could find Alphonso working on his beloved midnight blue Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass. If he wasn't fixing his car, he was working a full-time job as the favorite Grandpa or fixing things around the house with his trusty Gorilla Glue and silicone. His version of Candy Land would be the Harbor Freight Tools store where Alphonso frequently visited and if given a choice, he would've jumped at the opportunity to work there. Alphonso also enjoyed watching classic movies, including "Dazed and Confused" and "The Titanic". His favorite show was "The Flintstones" and he would always say, "you're never too old to watch cartoons!". Alphonso also loved to read the comics in the Sunday newspaper every week. He was loyal, loved deeply and never held a grudge. As an absolute gem of a person, completely one of a kind and irreplaceable, Alphonso will be greatly missed by everyone lucky enough to have known him.
Alphonso was preceded in death by his mother, Maria "Cruz" Pompa; son, Alphonso Edward Pompa; brother, Jesus "Chuy" Garcia and sister-in-law, Tina Pompa.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Pompa; father, Idelfonso "Chico" Pompa; children, Sylvia (Jason) Pompa-Boston, Jennifer (Jamaal Comithier) Pompa, and Tamara (Fabian Torres-Garcia) Pompa; siblings, Grace "Chela" (Oscar) Guajardo, Cynthia (Lewis) Tellado, Reymundo "Willy" (Mary) Pompa, Manuel (Joanne) Pompa, and Gilberto "Beto" Pompa; grandchildren, Anthony, Aireas, Jacelyn, Analia, Jazzlyn, Jayden, Vanessa, and Fabian Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
