Angela "Angie" Gay, 53, of Jacksonville passed away March 5, 2026. She was born February 3, 1973 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Quentin Bowman and Joy Peterson Hefner. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a half-sister, Candice; and a half-brother, Corey Brothers.

Angie enjoyed knitting, Legos, cross stitch, and crocheting. She also liked having kitchen battles with her husband, Kenneth. They always competed with each other about who was the better cook.

Left to cherish Angie's memory are her husband, Kenneth Gay; children; Christopher Gay and Christina (Zach) Mulligan; step children, Kenneth (Jessica) Gay, Kevin Gay, and Kendall (Randy) Bloom; one sister, Shawn Shepherd; grandchildren, Hayden, Ayden, Maddyson, Kenley, Rebecca, Tyler, Elijah, and Madalynn; brother and sister in law, Chester (Lisa) Gay, sisters in law, Stella Gay, Peggy Chuckels, Melanie McClain, Madeline Kenney, and Carmen Gay; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. A visitation and rosary will begin one hour prior, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Her final resting place will be Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
