Ann Marie Gallegos, affectionately known as "Nanny", 62, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on April 30, 2021. She was born September 17, 1958 to the late Bill and Berta "Marie" (Staudt) Willenberg in Weimar, Texas.

Nanny led her life as a devout Catholic, touching the lives of everyone she met with God's grace. She was the director of Cursillo, taught sixth grade religious education class and ran the Right of Christian Initiation for Adults. She also served various ministries at Holy Family Parish on LRAFB and at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Blessed with a servant's heart and excellent cooking skills, Nanny would cook for the masses at the Fishnet Ministries and other large events. In addition to being an amazing chef, Nanny also enjoyed arts and crafts, including needle work, crocheting and knitting. She was also a phenomenal seamstress, which led to her owning a successful clothing alterations business where she designed clothing for countless people. As a business owner, she even sponsored a ladies' softball team and acted as assistant coach. Above all else, she made friends instantaneously and then brought those friends to Christ.  Nanny had a bright, beautiful smile that could light up a room. She was the selfless and loving matriarch of our family that will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known her.

God was ready for Nanny, but our hearts were not. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-six years, Deacon Ernie Gallegos; daughters, Tina (Andrew) Evans, Elizabeth Yeats and Virginia Gonzales; grandchildren, Shayla Ann (Bryan) Bogan, Kiarra Shaunté (Daniel) Ibinola, Amia Nicole Evans, Adrianna Marie Evans, Jania Sheree Evans, Laila Terese Evans, Victoria Martin,and Kadence Yates; great-grandchild, Zephaniah M. Ibinola and countless friends and extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Visitation and rosary service will be the evening prior, Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
