Obituary

Antony "Tony" Leelon Hatcher, 66, passed away April 19, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born October 19, 1958 to the late Robert Tracy Hatcher and Jannette Fauntleroy in Washington, DC.

Tony spent many years behind the wheel of his school bus, not just driving but caring. He greeted everyone that came on his bus with a smile and made every student feel welcome. When his boys were young, he spent a lot of time on the football field with them coaching and mentoring.  He started the Jacksonville Jaguars little league football team where he coached for several years. He also started a semi-pro football team for adults to keep them off the streets. He was a proud father that attended every football game, choir concert, baseball game, and more. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and kindness to others.

Tony is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Robert Hatcher and Joy Junsay; his mother and step-father, Jannette and William Fauntleroy; and a granddaughter, Amari Jayde Hatcher.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Terrance (Tracy) Hatcher and Terrod (Nicole) Hatcher; four grandchildren, Malik Hatcher, Zari Hatcher, Alana Hatcher, and Miles Hatcher; one sister, Zaquette Fauntleroy-Everett; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Cynthia and Matt Duke for taking good care of Tony the last couple months. Also, to Heidi Reed for being there when he took his last breath.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel.
