Betty Jane Wigginton Gilmore finished her earthly life on June 25, 2023 and is now in her forever home with her Lord and Savior.  She was born July 25, 1934 in Nuckols, Kentucky to the late Eura Wigginton and Beulah Price Wigginton. She was a member of Marshall Road Baptist Church since joining in 1970.  She loved serving her Lord in many ways, helping to meet the needs of others and  decorating the church for Christmas and other special occasions.  On September 16, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas she married the love of her life and best friend Billy G. Gilmore, becoming a military wife for the next 26 years and sharing 64 years together.  She worked for many years as a teller at First Arkansas Bank & Trust retiring in August 2008.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her children, son Dr. Barry Gilmore (Elizabeth), daughter Kamiah Gilmore Hove, granddaughter Kelly Gilmore, brother Wallace Wigginton (Helen), along with nieces, nephews, and many special friends near and far away who became family over the years.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
