Billie Jeanne Dougherty, age 97, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away April 10, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1928 in Carlisle, Arkansas to the late Harvey Miller and Gladys Blanche Lisenby.

We celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose legacy is marked by service, warmth, and enduring love. She was a devoted teacher, before becoming a business owner.  A proud member of the Arkansas AARP and a faithful member of Cabot United Methodist Church, she lived her life grounded in faith and community. She found great joy in cooking meals that brought people together, traveling, and cherishing meaningful moments with friends and family. Her kindness, wisdom, and vibrant presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Along with her parents, Billie is preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Dwight Brewer Sr. and William Penn Dougherty; two sons, Charles Dwight Brewer Jr. and Robert Michael Brewer.; siblings, Louis Miller Lisenby and Harvey Guy (Connie) Lisenby.

She is survived by one son, Joseph (Cindy) Brewer and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas. The family will have a private burial.
