Billy Earl Averett, 82, of Cabot, passed away November 2, 2020. He was born October 2, 1938 in Tallulah, Louisiana to parents Archie and Mariana (Holloway) Averett.   In addition to his parents, Billy was welcomed into Heaven by several of his siblings.

Those left to cherish Billy's memory include his wife of 56 years, Mauricette Averett; his six children, Mary Kathryn Flores, Ruth Ann Young, Jeanette Nation, James Averett, John Averett, and Andy Averett; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Billy was a big man both in stature and heart; he was a farmer, and animal lover. He served his country in the United States Armed Forces. He was also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Billy was loved and respected by all.  He will be terribly missed by everyone, but especially by his 23 grandchildren, who vied for his attention and the opportunity to sit on his lap.

A private Mass celebrating Billy's life will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
