Bobby Gene Hayes Sr., 78, of Jacksonville passed away on March 9, 2021. He was born in McMinn County, Tennessee on December 12, 1942. Bobby was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Henry and Elsie Hayes; his wife of forty-eight years, Prosie Hayes and his sister, Judy Monroe.

Bobby was a proud, lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his wife, Prosie were active members at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville and the Fil-Am Association. Bobby served his country for twenty-five years, retiring as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. After retiring from the military, Bobby worked for the Arkansas Transportation Department. He was a selfless, loving man who would do anything for someone in need.

Those left to cherish Bobby's memory include his daughter, Hazel (Lori) Lednick-Hayes; son, Bobby Hayes Jr.; grandson, Henry Lednick-Hayes and siblings, Linda (Johnny) Miller and Donnie Hayes.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the church. Bobby will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park after the service.
