Bobby Ray Taylor, 91, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away September 22, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1934 in Yukon, Oklahoma to the late Henry and Opal (Butler) Taylor.
He graduated from Chickasha High School before answering the call to serve his country. He dedicated 20 honorable years to the United States Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He retired in 1973 with the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt), leaving behind a legacy of service, sacrifice, and professionalism.
Following his military retirement, Bobby continued his commitment to hard work and community by spending 20 years working in the parts departments of various Ford dealerships. Never one to remain idle, he also pursued his passion for woodworking, spending over 30 years crafting with skill, care, and creativity.
He will be remembered for his discipline, quiet strength, and devotion to his family and country. His life was a testament to resilience, integrity, and the value of hard work.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Taylor and Jerry Taylor; one daughter, Jo Taylor; grandson, Troy Crook; and his wife, Camille Taylor.
He is survived by daughter, Joyce Soularie; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas. There will be visitation prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be privately interred at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
