Obituary

Brenda Gayle Maples, age 69, was born January 27, 1955 in Martinez, California. She departed this life on November 5, 2024 in Berryville, Arkansas.

Brenda married Merle Presley Maples, Jr. on February 14, 1983 in Seminole, Oklahoma, where she spent most of her time growing up. Soon after getting married, they moved to Lonoke, Arkansas, where they made it their home. She was always great with children, and it showed with how proud she was of her own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her family and friends more than anything. She enjoyed playing piano, cooking, reading, but her latest past time was crocheting. She spent many hours making people beautiful items: blanket, hat, key chain, really whatever came to mind. She had such a big heart, if it was within her ability, she would help anyone that she could. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, brothers, and one God-son.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Rust of Berryville, AR; son, Shawn Cleveland and his wife Amanda of Oklahoma; son, Robert Fowler of Berryville, AR; and daughter, Brandy Maples of Jacksonville, AR; and one God-daughter, Shellie Owings, of Georgia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patrick (Kayla) Austin, HayLey (Patrick) Best, Courtney Myddleton, Vivian Rust, Austin (Rain) Cleveland, Emalee Cleveland, Jordan Cleveland, Jordan Fowler, Isiah Fowler, Angelica Fowler, Jason Lynn II, Presley Lynn, Blakley Miller, Brad (Jewel)  LaRue, Elysse Knapp, Steven Coker, Alex Coker, Broderick Jackson, Autumn Rust; great-granddaughters, Adreynne, Cheyanne, and Kinley McGlynn; great-grandsons, Parker Best, and Huxlen; siblings, Terry Ginnie, Shirley (William) Balderson, and Doug Winkleman; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
