Brenda Joyce (Howard) Woods went to be with the Lord on June 12th 2023. Brenda was born January 22, 1946 to Archie Bell and Ernest Howard. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her siblings, Ernestine Cato, Vivian McCoy, Larry Joe Amos, and Mack Tolbert Sr.

Brenda, aka "Granny", accepted Christ as her savior at a young age. She was raised in North Little Rock and graduated from Scipio A. Jones High School class of 1964. After surviving breast cancer in 1989 she became a Para Professional for North Little Rock School District and later transferred to Pulaski County Special School District working for an after-school program until she retired. She then spent a lot of her free days sewing, crafting and creating beautiful things, as well as babysitting in her home. She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was loved tremendously by those who knew her.

Brenda is survived by her children: Darrell (Andraya) Duckery of Georgia, Yolunda Duckery, of Florida, Kelly (Tanera) Duckery Sr. of Texas and Robin Johnson of Arkansas. We would like to acknowledge Berea Little, who is her niece, but was raised with her like a sister. She also leaves six grandchildren: Rebecca, Kelly Jr., Kameron, Aaron, Marcus and Gabrielle. She was blessed to also have two great grandchildren, Adreian and Skylar. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss her greatly.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
