Carolyn Sue Toney, 77, of Jacksonville passed away November 26, 2020. She was born December 12, 1942 to the late Thomas and Nora Gordon. Her husband of 60 years, Howard Vance Toney Sr, 84,. passed away November 28, 2020.  He was born January 5, 1936 to the late Vernon and Ruby Toney.  Howard and Carolyn were married August 26, 1960.  They were blessed with 3 sons, Hal, Eddie and Terry and raised them in Jacksonville.

Carolyn worked at Jacksonville High School and wore many hats.  She started working in the library, switched to being the secretary to the counselor's office and then ended up working in the office as the principal's secretary.  She enjoyed cheering on the Razorbacks in her spare time and watching any and all sports. She loved the Lord and attended McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville.

Howard spent 4 years in the Marines, then worked at VerTac and Hercules before retiring. He spent many years coaching all of his boys in baseball.  Howard spent his retired days working with wood and building things.  During his younger years, he loved taking his boys hunting.

In addition to their parents, Howard and Carolyn were preceded in death by their son, Terrell Lee Toney.

Those left to cherish their memories include their children, Howard (Michele Lewis) Toney, Jr. and Edward Toney; daughter-in-law, Dena Toney;  their grandchildren, Sarah Toney, Patrick (Ashley Hill) Toney, Jarod Toney, Tyler Toney, Trent Toney, Jacob Toney, Carsen Manor, Leighton Hill and one great-grandchild, Maggie Brooks Toney.

A combined graveside service for this lovely couple will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
