Charles Vernard Robinson Jr., 74, of Jacksonville passed away October 22, 2023. He was born March 20, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Asilee (Martin) and Charles Vernard Robinson Sr. In addition to his parents, Charles was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife, Susan Robinson.

Charles worked as an engineer for the United States Railroad System until his retirement. He was president of the North Little Rock shooting club in the 1980s, and in his spare time enjoyed working as a part time gunsmith. Charles and his wife, Susan loved spending time outdoors, hunting white tail deer and fishing. He also enjoyed competitive shooting and racing cars on the dirt track.

Those left to cherish the memories of Charles include his children, Bryan (Karle) Robinson of Conway and Kimberly Robinson of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Josh Hensley, Luke Robinson and Aubrey Jones; sisters, Marilyn (Randy) Counts, and Carolyn (Duke) Braxton Palmer; as well as nieces and nephews, Guy Finney, Andrea Carter, Lisa Carter, Mark Butler and Greg Butler.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning 9:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Charles will be laid to rest next to his wife at Rest Hills Memorial Park following the service.
