Christi Yvonne Long, 62, of Sherwood passed away September 10, 2026. She was born July 29, 1964 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to the late William and Sharon (Horner) Webb.

Christi was a proud graduate of Jacksonville High School, Class of 1982. She spent much of her professional life serving others through her work at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She was dedicated to the hospital and took great pride in the work she did. Over the years, she worked in Physical Facility Construction before eventually serving as a Quality and Safety Specialist.

While Christi was proud of her career, nothing meant more to her than her children. When they were growing up, she embraced her role as a baseball and football mom. She also believed in giving back to her community. She was a generous donor to Sylvan Hills High School. She loved football! Spending the weekends watching college and NFL football. She also enjoyed Hallmark movies and the Food Network. Speaking of cooking, she was known for her cornbread and poppy seed chicken.

But Christi’s favorite place of all was Destin, Florida. She loved going to the beach and was content spending the whole day laying on the beach and eating seafood.

Left to cherish Christi’s memory are her loving husband of 38 years, James Long; sons, J.T. Long and Marcus (Elizabeth) Long; grandchild, Brynn Long; brother, David Webb; niece, Patricia (Chris) Whitterman; and great nephew, Kashton Whitterman.

A celebration of Christi’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before, beginning at 12:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
