David Arthur Boyd, 93, of Jacksonville, passed away April 20, 2021. He was born August 16, 1927 in Jacksonville to the late Redmond and Annie (Sumner) Boyd. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Bonnie Boyd; his brothers, Don (Margaret) Boyd, Jerry Boyd, Dickie (Annie) Boyd and sister, Dianne (Wayne) Besancon.

Shortly after serving in World War II, David began his 43-year career with the Veterans Administration until retirement as Building Administrator in 1987. Retirement afforded him the opportunity to do what he enjoyed most, spending time with family who will treasure the memories he left behind.

David is survived by his children, Karla Gibbs and Brian (Sheryl) Boyd; grandchildren, Ashley (Daniel) Morrison, Shea (Drew) Young, Seth (Kaylee) Boyd, Taylor (Miller) Crosby and Samantha Boyd, who affectionately called him "DD"/"Nananny"; his great-grandchildren, Logan Morrison, Luke & Harper Young; and sister, Mary Ruth Turrentine.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas, followed by his celebration of life at 11:00 a.m.m officiated by Reverend Elizabeth Brinegar and Lay Minister Mary Jane Fischer. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family requests memorials be made in David's name to First Presbyterian Church, 1208 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.
