David Joel Bush, 75, of Jacksonville, passed away at his home Sunday, August 9, 2020. He was born May 24, 1945 in Lone Mountain, Tennessee to Swann and Doshie Bush. Dave was a United States Air Force veteran, a retired Remington Arms employee and the owner/operator of several central Arkansas restaurants, including The Hook Catfish Restaurant in Jacksonville. Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Bush and his mother, Doshie Bush.

Dave is survived by his children, Christi (Scott) Jeffries of White Hall, Brian (Tammy) Bush of St. Petersburg, Florida; his father and step-mother, Swann and Avanell Bush; siblings, Bennie Bush of Kentucky, Cyrus Bush of North Carolina, Linda Peterson of Virginia and four grandchildren, Tyler Jeffries, Madeline Jeffries, Charles Bush and Brandon Bush.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Jacksonville First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Bayou Meto Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at the church.  The family suggests memorial donations be made to Make a Wish America, Gift Processing, 1702 East Highland Ave. Suite 400, Phoenix, Arizona 85016.
