David John Mogish's Obituary

David John Mogish, 86, of Jacksonville, went to his heavenly home on Monday May 2 ,2022. David was born on January 12, 1936, in Buck Mountain, Pennsylvania to the late John and Magdalena Mogish. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Letticia Klitsch; as well as two brothers, Gerald and Jack Mogish.

David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from 20 years of honorable service as a Master Sergeant. David was a man of many talents, he was a jet engine mechanic and used his mechanical skills to fix just about anything. He was very involved with his family and their activities. He served his community through working fifteen years at PathFinders and ten years at Fishnet Food Bank. He was also a very talented athlete, excelling in baseball and softball and played until he was 74 years of age. He was a true man of integrity and honor, admired by many and will be very much missed by everyone who knew him.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Treva Mogish; his sons and their wives, David (Susan) Mogish Jr., Brent (Kathy) Mogish, and Kevin (Kristy) Mogish; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock will take place immediately following the service. Visitation will be the evening prior, 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
