David Alan Shaver, 70, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away January 4, 2022. He was born February 22, 1951 in West Hamlin, West Virginia to the late Garland and Dorothy Shaver.

David will be remembered for his big loving heart. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and proudly served in Vietnam. He loved to hunt, fish, and hang out in nature. David was best known for his role as Santa Claus. He enjoyed being Santa with his wife Janie (Noel Claus) by his side. He made a lot of children happy.

Those left behind to cherish David's memory, his wife of forty-seven years, Janie Shaver; three children, George (Stephanie) Shaver, Angelia (Melvin) Grant, and Robert (Alyssa) Shaver; sister Barbie Mellinger; eleven grandchildren; niece Liz (Josh) Falcon and children; all of which he loved beyond measure.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
