Delvin Ray "Jack" Jackson, 88, formerly of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 in Traverse City, Michigan. He was born April 3, 1935 in Laurel, Mississippi to the late Robert Sr. and Bessie Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, June Jackson, and siblings Ruth, Juanita, Clyde, Bob and J.V.

Jack proudly served in the US Air Force from 1952-1975 as a firefighter. He worked various jobs before joining the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department in 1982 where he served until his retirement in 2004.

He is survived by daughter, Tracey Matthews of Traverse City, Mi; son David (Suzi) Jackson of Wynne, Arkansas; five grandchildren: A.J. (Tiffany) Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kristin (Dalton) Denny of Brookland, Arkansas, Clayton (Abby) Jackson of Wynne, Arkansas, John Matthews of Miridian, Mississippi, Lauren Matthews of Traverse City, Michigan; three great-grandchildren: Tielur Hinkle of Brookland, Arkansas, Vivian Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cason King of Wynne, Arkansas. and sibling, Hellen Windham.

Graveside Memorial Service will be 12:00 p.m., April 25, 2024 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120.
