Dennis Dale Cockrell, 71, of Cabot passed away June 18, 2026. He was born January 18, 1955 in Harrisburg, Arkansas.  He is preceded in death by his parents Barney and Bettye Atkins Cockrell; daughter, Jamie Gault; two sisters, Juanita Darter and Kathy Robinson; and two grandsons, Michael Sampson and Justin Sampson.

Dennis was a proud Navy Veteran. He was a handy man and enjoyed woodworking, being in his shop, deer hunting, and playing with his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marcy Cockrell; four children, Denise Cockrell-Wren, Kristi Cockrell, Lena Ray and Keith (Alexa) Ray; one sister, Edie Deal; two brothers, Dan Cockrell and John (Judy) Taylor; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas
