Donald Ray Poteet, 76, of Jacksonville passed away April 1, 2026. He was born June 15, 1949 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Corene Poteet, parents, and siblings.

Donald was a quiet, simple man who enjoyed hanging with his buddies at the Waffle House, shooting, and reading books.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Stacy (Many) Poteet and Christina (John) Boucher; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one on the way; his neighbor, Larry; and good friend, Mike.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Corene.
