Donna "Rose" Abney, 78, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020. She was born August 19, 1941 to parents, Carlos and Maxine Johnson, in Olney, Illinois. Rose enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks, decorating her house and having a good time. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Abney and sister, Sylvia "Sugar" Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Greg) Davis and Kitty Stone; nephews, Mike, Dean and Jeff Beard; grandchildren, Adam (Jessa) Wyatt, Chad Chidester and Jessica Wyatt and her great-grandchildren, Aiby, Andrew and Jacob Wyatt.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m., both at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. She will be inurned at Chapel Hill Memorial Park at a later date.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
