Doris Louise Parsons, age 95, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away February 9, 2026. She was born on June 9, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Arthur and Nettie Nickels.

Doris spent much of her life in Omaha, where her faith was the foundation of all she did. She was a longtime, faithful member of Plains Baptist Church and later Fellowship Baptist Church. She devoted many years to serving the Lord as a Sunday school teacher. Doris also cherished attending Bible camps in various locations, where she strengthened her faith.

She enjoyed family vacations to Colorado. In 2006, Doris and her late husband, Leland, moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas to be closer to her daughters due to the failing health of Leland.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leland R Parsons; and son, Steven Smith.

She is survived by children, Pamela Ellwood, Bruce Santee, and Joan (Kelly) Paxson; grandchildren, Steven (Nettie) Smith, Paul (Stephanie) Smith, Christine McClennan, Jonathan Ellwood, Rodney (Priscilla) Ellwood, Brady Reynolds, Max Reynolds, and Brittany Santee; 9 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
