Obituary

Dorris "Bo" Gene Pearl, 85, of Jacksonville passed away on October 13, 2021. He was born July 30, 1936 in Sweet Home, Arkansas to the late Wilbur and Blanche (Trotter) Pearl. In addition to his parents, Bo was welcomed into Heaven by his daughter, Terri Suzanne Pearl; and sister, Dean Nelson.

Bo had an incredibly strong faith and was an active member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville. In his spare time, Bo enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his tractor. He never met a stranger and had several life-long friends that he loved having breakfast with on a frequent basis. With his great sense of humor, it was hard not to love Bo. He will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife and soulmate, Loretta (Schaechtel) Pearl; his favorite cat, Trigger; nieces, Brin Schaechtel, Melissa (Jason) Pitcher, Nikki (Nathan) Flynt, Danielle, Amanda, and Lauren Nelson; nephews, Don (Karen) Nelson, Danny (Tammy) Nelson, and Chris Schaechtel; great-nieces and nephews, Peyton and Bellamy Flynt, Harper Clinton, Taytum Watson, Brooks Pitcher and Clara Pitcher (who will be making her arrival soon); brother-in-laws, Butch (Debbie) Schaechtel and Bill (Paula) Schaechtel; as well as numerous friends and Bo's church family.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville with Pastor David O'Dell officiating. The family would like to thank Hospice Home Care for their loving care to Bo in his final days. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
