Douglas Howard Murray, 78, of Conway passed away on July 26, 2021. He was born October 22, 1942 in Kensett, Arkansas to the late Benjamin Howard and Winnie Louise (Bennett) Murray. In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his wife, Portia Murray; son, Shawn Murray; brother, Edley Murray; and sister, Linda Morris.

Douglas proudly worked as an engineer for the railroads. He was funny, had a quick wit and could talk to anyone willing to listen. In his earlier years, Douglas enjoyed hunting and fishing; and later in life enjoyed old antique cars and visiting flea markets. He was a devoted father that loved his children unconditionally and will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kimberly Cloe and Todd Murray; as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
