Fay Laverne (Gregory) Pejsha, 87, died December 1, 2020 at her home in Jacksonville, Arkansas.  Fay was born January 24, 1933 in Ellsworth, Kansas to the late Wilmer A. and Olga (Schwartzel) Gregory. She was a 1950 graduate of Ellsworth High School in Ellsworth, Kansas. Fay married Laudie C. Pejsha in Ellsworth, Kansas on October 29, 1955.  They moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas in 1958 where Laudie joined the Air Force and was stationed at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Fay worked in the retail grocery business as a meat wrapper for 59 years.  She also worked at Chambers Drug Store. Fay loved being outdoors working in her vegetable garden and tending her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laudie (P.J.) Pejsha on June 10, 1996; her sisters, Judy Gregory of Ellsworth, Dorothy Ptacek of Wilson, Ona Dupes of Gypsum, Ester Snowball of Salina and one brother, Larry Gregory of Ellsworth.

Survivors include her brother, George Gregory of Clay Center, twenty nieces and nephews, as well as her good friends, Dowel Harrison and Bobby and Tiah Phillips.

Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilson, Kansas, with burial in the Wilson Catholic Cemetery.
