We are saddened at the loss of our sister, mom, grandmother, friend and co-worker- Felicia Lorraine (Dorsey) Wilbanks. She passed at Baptist Health Center on January 13, 2025. Though we will miss her, Heaven gained a great organizer and precious person!
Felicia was born March 12th 1965 at LRAFB hospital to Russell Jackson Dorsey and Cynthia Elizabeth (Scott) Dorsey.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Duane Wilbanks; father, Jack Dorsey; mother, Cynthia Scott Dorsey; brother, Russell Jackson Dorsey II, both sets of grandparents; great-grandmother; along with many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family. She will be missed by family, many friends, neighbors, and her 4 cats.
Felicia is survived by her sisters, Faith Bryant (Tim) and Fair Dorsey; sister-in-law, Barbara Dorsey; step-daughters, Sarah Rout (Brandon and Rorie-granddaughter), and Kelly Wilbanks. She leaves behind her best-friend, Elizabeth Mayfield (Phillip) of many years along with their sons. Along with many aunts, uncles, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 6 great-nephews, 4 great-nieces...and many friends, co-workers and neighbors that love her dearly!
Felicia worked as a head cashier for a grocery chain, when she was booking a hotel stay for vacation in Florida with her friends-she said she could probably work in the hotel business, to which the manager said when you come back from vacation, come fill out an application. She did and started her long career in the Hotel industry –housekeeping, head manager for housekeeping, night auditor, assistant GM and GM. She was presently working for Pulaski County Public Works. From boss to co-worker, she was a good friend and force to be reckoned with, she was all this wrapped up in a bundle of joy, she will be greatly missed.
We would like to extend a great thanks to her boss and husband that went to her aid on Dec 29th, to the first responders and paramedics, the ER staff at Baptist Medical, and Neuro ICU staff teams plus her doctors. We had 2 extra weeks with her and we are beholden to you for her great care!!!
