Flo Ann Jones, a Wonderful Momma, Precious NaNa, Loving Friend, and Classy Lady went to her heavenly home on December 07, 2022 at the age of 82 years young. She was born on February 20, 1940 to the late Cleave and Audrey Elliott in Clarksdale, Arkansas.

Flo was a wife to many, but true love and soulmate to only one, Raymond. She was a Christian who grew up in Jacksonville and attended Landmark Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper, taking care of various family businesses throughout the years. She worked for the Better Business Bureau, and was a bail bond agent for ten years before retiring. Flo's true passion was being a seamstress, sewing her children and grandchildren beautiful clothes when they were young, and was an absolutely amazing cook. She was the best NaNa a girl could have. Flo was fierce and very strong-willed, it seemed like her life's motto was "I'll do it my way".

In addition to her parents, Flo was preceded in death by her brother, Cleave JW Elliot; sister, Wanda Holt; son, Shayne Gillis; and husband, Raymond Jones Jr.

She is survived by sister, Flora (Ken) Powers of Hollis; daughter, Beverlee (Rich) Cholewa of Griswold, CT; son, Richard Anthony Gillis of Brooklyn,CT; daughter, Tammy (Gary) Southerland of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Shannon Stevenson and Gregory Cholwea of Griswold, CT, Matthew Gillis of Sherwood, Ashley Valdez of East Hampton, CT, and Savannah Southerland of Jacksonville; 9 great-grandchildren; nephew, James "Danny" Holt;  nieces, Tracy Farley and Melissa Edmonds; lifelong friend, Caroline Dupree; as well as a host of family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Flo will be laid to rest following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice, who gave her the best care possible. Dementia is a devastating disease and a heartbreaking battle she fought hard.
