Little Rock
Freda Joyce Smith transitioned from this life on June 22,2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 90, in the loving home of the McMillon family. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
She was an identical twin born on May 17, 1935 to late Author Williams and Selma Brown of Staunton, Virginia. She shared a beautiful and extraordinary bond with her twin sister, Frances Pannell.
She shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with her late husband, Isaac H. Smith, who was a proud service member in the US Air Force. Their life together took them across the globe and they raised five children in three different countries. Each move was an opportunity to create long lasting loving memories.
Dedicated to her career, she worked with pride and precision as an inspector at Remington Arms for 22 years. Her attention to detail. Work ethic, and integrity earned her deep respect from colleagues and the satisfaction of a job well done. This is where she met her lifelong best friend, Casandra Sims.
She believed in the power of togetherness and loved her family dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Cynthia Smith of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Mechele (Michael) Casey of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Lisa (Jefferson) McMillon of Little Rock, Arkansas, a slew of grandchildren, many great grandchildren, her twin sister, and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Isaac H. Smith, her son Isaac T. Smith, and her son Dwayne T. Smith.
She loved spending time with family, cooking and planting flowers. She lived a life defined by love, dedication and unwavering faith. Her beautiful, warm smile will be truly missed.
