Gladys Sue Fulbright, age 92, of Jacksonville passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Sue was a homemaker, taught Sunday school, and was the heart of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ransom Rex Fulbright; all six of her siblings; two children, Cindy Fuller, Belinda Hollingshead; a grandchild, Amber Fuller-Shaw; great-grandchild, Harrison Moore.

Sue is survived by her children, Mike (Brian Gentry) Fulbright of California, Patty Moneagle of Jacksonville, son-in-laws, Ricky Hollingshead of Jacksonville, Ron Fuller of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Mike Fuller, Jennifer Hollingshead, Carrie (John) Fuller, Tommy (Kendra) Hollingshead, Jessica (Trey) Moore, Taylor Paul; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Gladys Sue Fulbright was born on June 16, 1930 to Paum and Thomas Perkins Holt in the Fairview Community now known as Lonoke, Arkansas. She was one of seven children and often described herself as quiet and shy. While in school she played basketball, helped run the family cotton farm, and was voted the most beautiful in her graduating class. Her beauty was unmatched even as she got older.

Sue married the love of her life at the age of 18 on October 30, 1948. She spent the next 58 years as a devoted wife and mother.

Sue and her husband raised three of their children in southern California. This was a big change from the farm and home in Arkansas. She often described California as magical with its beautiful sunshine, palm trees, and the avocado tree in her backyard. She also loved that Disneyland was just down the street.

Sue and Rex moved back to Arkansas in 1969 where they settled in Jacksonville and raised their fourth child. Together they enjoyed going to band concerts, Red Devil football games, bowling,and camping. Her favorite hobby was rocking all the babies in the family. Those in her family often called her the "baby whisperer".

Sue lived an amazing life full of her stories, heartbreaks that no one person should ever have to experience, the strength of ten grown men, beauty inside and out, and a gentle spirit that made everyone who came in contact with her fall in love instantly.

Sue was also a firm believer in Jesus Christ. She often spoke of the mansion that was being built for her in Heaven. She would often say, "In my Father's house there are many mansions and I hope yours is next to mine."
