Glenda Mae Evans, 75, of Sherwood passed away peacefully July 19, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born June 9, 1948 in Newport, Arkansas to the late George and Evelyn Laird. In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom Evans, who she was married to for 54 years; daughter, Shonna Reed; brothers JR Laird, JL Laird, Bill Laird, and Lester Laird; and sisters, Frances Stephens, Oma Lee McDaniel, Ruby McDaniel, and Marie Laird.

Those left to cherish Glenda's memory are her son Brad (Cari) Evans of Bowling Green, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Madison (Brody) Creed, Matt Reed, Haley Evans, Hannah Evans, and Matthew Evans; great-granddaughters, Charlee Creed and Collins Creed; sister, Sue Holliman; twin sister, Linda Jensen; brother, Dale Laird; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2023 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Glenda will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
