Glendola Wooldridge (Justus) Edwards was born in Walnut Ridge, AR to the late William Wooldridge and Grace (Floyd) Wooldridge. She attended Mt. Zion School through the 8th grade. During that time she played sandlot baseball and basketball. According to her principal, "on the basketball court, Glendola couldn't be beat!" She was also the ciphering champion in her school.

When she finished 8th grade at Mt. Zion, she attended high school in Walnut Ridge where she continued to play Basketball. She made All-District (Center-Forward) her senior year.

After graduating she worked for Roy Muller, Attorney and then the United States Employment Service (ESD). During that time she met James "Jack" Justus. They married and had a son, Sammy Justus.

They moved to Little Rock and she started her banking career. During her banking career she met Robert D. Edwards and moved to Jacksonville. She worked as a teller, assistant branch manager and in the audit department, which she enjoyed the most. She became corresponding secretary to the Business and Professional Women's Club. She attended the American Institute of Banking and completed many banking courses which are college credits. She freely admitted that economics was not her best subject. She was state president of the Military Order of the Cooties, a part of the VFW that does hospital work. She retired from banking after 30 years and became State President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was the first president to become "President of the Year" from Arkansas. She also served on the National Council of the VFWLA for two years, representing Arkansas and Oklahoma. She held several chairmanships on the State and National levels. She was given the keys to the City of Jacksonville by Mayor Tommy Swain while she was president of her local post 4548. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 64 years.

She was active in the LRAFB Chapel for many years and volunteered there as well. She enjoyed her many friends in the Sewing Ministry and attending chapel services. When she was 80 years old, she received the Senior Volunteer of the Year plaque from the city of Jacksonville and was given the Chaplain Award from the LRAFB Chaplain.

In 2017, she moved to Hot Springs Village and lived at Greenwood Manor where she continued to be active in chapel and daily life. She joined the Barcelona Road Baptist Church while living In Hot Springs Village.

She is preceded in death by her parents Grace and William L. Wooldridge, ex-husband James Justus and husband Robert Edwards, brothers Floyd Wooldridge, and Woodrow Wooldridge, sisters Lucile Bagley, and Latheda Hathcoat, and daughter Johnette (Edwards) Hunter.

She is survived by her son Sammy Justus (Alice), daughters Charlaine (Edwards) Hurt (JR) and Misty (Edwards) Stanley (Joe) and grandchildren Christopher Justus (Sherry), Autumn Stanley, Courtney (Stanley) Fow (David), Madena Stanley, Yvonne Newman (John), Chad Hunter, and Cody Hunter (Kayleigh), and great grandchildren Michael Cartwright, Samantha (Justus) Howard, Tyler Justus, Ethan Cagle, Steven Cagle, Abigail Meadows, Jackson Fow, Chloe Fow, Lilly Hunter, and Carleigh Hunter, and great-great grandchildren Jase, Easton and Oakley Cartwright and Elijah Howard.

Memorials may be given to the VFW post 4548, 6704 Old Highway 67, Cabot, Arkansas, 72023.
