Gregory C. Deen, 74, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026.
He was born on April 16, 1951, in Waco, Texas to the late Grover C. Deen and Viola Dahl. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Rushton.
Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Deen; his loving daughter, Erika Zoeller, and son-in-law, Noel Zoeller; and his cherished granddaughter, Hope Zoeller. He is also survived by his niece, Bethany Easterling, and nephew, Rob Rushton.
Greg was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as a C-130 pilot. He later continued his service as a Crew Resource Manager, teaching communication and teamwork within the aircraft – roles in which he took great pride and demonstrated his dedication to excellence and the safety of others.
A committed and loyal follower of the Catholic faith, Greg was also dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and reflected in the way he loved and served others.
Greg had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy in boating, fishing, and traveling in his Airstream. These moments brought him peace and created lasting memories with those he loved most.
Greg will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the love he shared with his family. His legacy of service, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic church in Jacksonville, Arkansas, on April 11, 2026. Visitation and Rosary will be one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Greg will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
