Guillermina Salinas Johnston, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 78. She was born on February 10, 1945 in Mexico City, Mexico to her parents, Perfecto and Trinidad Salinas. Guillermina's journey through life was marked by a profound love for her family, an enduring spirit, and a genuine kindness that touched the lives of all who knew her. She was also known to have a deep devotion to her Catholic faith, and an unwavering trust in God.
In addition to her parents, Guillermina was preceded in death by one sister. She is survived by her beloved husband of many years, James E. Johnston; children, Mario A. Johnston, Christopher (Anita) Johnston, Joseph L. (Michelle) Johnston, Carol Lyn Johnston (Jerry) Dixon, and James D. Johnston; sister, Maria Guadalupe Salinas; one brother; grandchildren, Jessica Garner, Amber Johnston, Kristen Hamblin, Michele Fordyce, Michael Johnston, Rome Moise, Cheyenne Dixon, and Isabella Dixon; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Hadley, Kenzlee, Riverbell, Bentley, Skylar, Talin, Jaxson, Luke, Maddox, and Aspyn; as well as numerous other beloved family and friends.
Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at St Jude's the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Guillermina will be laid to rest at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
