Harry G. Hamilton, Jr., 95, of Clinton, passed away peacefully February 4, 2021. He was born May 5, 1925 in Lonoke County in the community of South Bend to Harry G. and Grace Hamilton.  Harry married the love of his life, Madge Holland Hamilton, on February 1948. They were married for sixty-four years until she preceded him in death in 2013.

Harry served as a gunner's mate on the USS Pennsylvania in the United States Navy during World War II. He lived a life of service, always lending a helping hand and being able to fix anything. Perseverance was his best asset and he enjoyed a life of hard work in the Civilian Conservation Core (CCC) and professionally as an auto and diesel mechanic.

After retiring, Harry moved from Jacksonville to the farm on Choctaw Creek where he enjoyed the beauty of God's nature perched on a deer stand or riding his John Deere tractor. He loved planting a garden and even tried his hand at growing peach trees. Harry loved the simple pleasure of biting into a peach.  Harry devoted his life to his wife and daughter, living an ordinary life in an extraordinary way.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Madge Hamilton; three brothers, Homer and Earnest Hamilton and Loyd Arles; three sisters, Peggy Mitchell, Dorothy McAllister and Patsy Winfrey and one son-in-law, Gary Lee Burke. Harry is survived by his daughter, Amelia Burke of Clinton, Arkansas and one sister, Jeanette Moody of Jacksonville, Arkansas.

A special heart of thanks goes to Kindred Hospice, Dr. David Griffin and his nurse, Kim Jobe, Carla Hogan, Cindy Turner, Ruth and Olas Allen and to all the many friends and family for their many messages of love and prayer.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.  Harry will be laid to rest following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
