Obituary

Hazel M. Davitt left us on July 6, 2022 to go to her eternal reward. She was born April 29, 1929 in Johnson City, Texas to the late Henry and Dora Anderegg. In addition to her parents, Hazel was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, John Davitt; and great-grandson, Donavon Coyle.

Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a caregiver to all lost souls – both human and animal- as well as a bookkeeper, housewife, and wonderful cook (Kathryn says Hazel's pie crusts and egg rolls were the best ever). Hazel was always eager to volunteer at St. Jude's Catholic Church. She loved Jesus, her family, casinos, traveling, sewing, music, gardening, and especially babies. She will be missed by those who were lucky enough to know and love her.

Those left to cherish the memories of Hazel include her children, Diane (Gary) Mize, Linda Mize, Janet (Mike) Yatska, and Kathryn Davitt; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one granddog.

A special thank you to all who visited, gave Hazel communion, and cared for Hazel, especially Hospice of Conway. Per Hazel's request, a small memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Hazel will be laid to rest following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
