Hellen Louise Raines, 91, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was born on Thursday, October 29, 1931 in Greenville, South Carolina to Bowen LaGrant and Nora Leslie Staton. Hellen was a military spouse, seamstress, painter, and avid crafter. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and volunteered with Mission 5000 to serve meals within the Jacksonville community. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Arkansas Extension Homemakers. She enjoyed travel, needlework, Mexican Train Dominos, and walking her dogs, Pepper and Sugar. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, CMSgt Dalton Allen Raines; her children, Carolyn Colleen McCall and CPO Mark Allen Raines.

Hellen is survived by her daughters, Janice (Phillip) Rankin of Lone Tree, Colorado and Susan Raines of Sherwood, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Rachael (Richard) Walker, Stephanie (Billy) Dunn, Jason (Cassie) Braswell, and Jessica (Chason) Bowman; five great-grandchildren, Stephen and Mark Dunn, Nathaniel and Cora Walker, and Caroline Bowman.

Graveside services for Hellen will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission 5000 , First United Methodist Church.
