Jack Homer Mansfield, age 73, passed away on January 5, 2026, at 5:01 a.m. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran, Jack went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A flight suit was exchanged for a heavenly robe as Jack entered his final permanent station. He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Harold and Doris Jean Mansfield; brother, Jeff Mansfield; in-laws, Max and Marie Fletcher; and great-niece, Marlee Schuetzle.

Jack was born on July 22, 1952, in Atwater, Ohio. He graduated from Waterloo High School, Class of 1970, and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1971. He began his military career with the 308th Strategic Missile Wing before cross-training as a C-130 Flight Engineer. After 27 years of honorable service, Jack retired as a Senior Master Sergeant.

Jack's life was marked by faithful service—to his country, his family, and his faith. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and deep love for those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Mansfield; children, Somer (Joel) Spencer, Chase (Courtney Murphrey) Mansfield, and Chad Mansfield; grandchildren, Cohen and Ryland Spencer, Parker Mansfield, Jack Mansfield, and Lucy Cate Murphrey; brother, Allyn Mansfield; and beloved brothers- and sisters-in-law, Gary and Glenda Fletcher, Ken Fletcher, Todd and Tammy Fletcher, Judy Schuetzle, Tammy Bourdo, Robin and Steve Walker, and Jennifer and Chad Wintz, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends who will cherish his memory.

There will be a funeral service with full military honors at 2:00p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Second Baptist Church, 1117 N James Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the church.
