James "Jim" Forrest Grady, 79, passed away on Saturday, August 1 ^st , 2020. He was born on April 9 ^th , 1941 to parents Winfred Forrest Grady and Josephine Elizabeth Holland Grady.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Kay Baker Grady; brother William Fredrick Grady; In-Laws Neil Pate and Ludeen Baker; Grand In-Laws Virgil and Hattie Mae Siler; Sister In-Law Fonda Baker Kinney and her husband Clarke; Brother-in-laws L. Oneal Sutter and O.C Otts; as well as dear family friends Gerry Main and Kara Main Mauldin.

Jim is survived by his loving daughter Scarlett Kay Grady, brothers John Holland Grady and Daniel Joseph Grady; Uncle-in-law James "Tinker" Siler; Sister-in-laws Sharon, Robbi, Cathie, and Lauri Grady; His beloved dog shared with his daughter, Sasha; Sister and Brother-in-law Joyce Baker and Richard Hoofman; Lifelong family friends Don Driskill, Glenda Driskill, and Wanda Main; Lifelong neighbors Art and Rosalie Brannen; and dear friends David and Allen Mauldin; as well as many other beloved extended family members and friends.

Jim enjoyed collecting decorative eggs, as they are the symbol of life. He was an aficionado of the arts such as theater and cinema. He enjoyed his time as a member of the "Pool Pals" at the Jacksonville Community Center. He loved making people laugh and his comedic timing was second to none. Everyone knew that when they were going to visit Jim, they were in for a time of great fun and laughter, and he never disappointed. He loved beautiful flowers, especially the Iris, which he felt was "God's favorite flower". He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ his whole life.

In high school, he was the drum major for the school band and performed for President John F. Kennedy at the dedication of the Greers Ferry Dam. After high school, he attended and graduated from Harding University where he met his beloved wife Gloria. He then went on to teach school for 26 years and was named teacher of the year in 1971. After retiring from teaching, he went on to work as a courier for Fuji Film, where he became one of only two couriers to ever achieve a million miles accident free. He was and forever will be regarded as a legend in his family.

Services will be 10:00 A.M, Friday, August 7, 2020 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with interment to follow at 2:00 P.M at Hutchinson-Palestine Cemetery in Floral, Arkansas.
