Obituary

Janie Lenette Jackson, 77, of Milton Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2024. She was born April 21, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Rev. Leonard and Juliette (Richardson) Newton. Mrs. Jackson was a member of The Church at Rock Creek before moving to Florida. She was very devoted to her Christian faith. She had a green thumb and loved to grow flowers and work in her garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jackson; sister, Julie Wonsch, and grandson, Tyler Woodward. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Byron Jackson (Debra) of Jacksonville, Jennifer Woodward (Tommy) of Florida; grandchildren, Jarret Jackson, Lucas Delaney (Kristen), Cody Jackson (Courtney) Logan Woodward; great grandchildren, Olivia Woodward and Tatum Jackson. Other survivors include siblings Janice Newton-Movlai (Abbas) of Oklahoma, Jeffrey Newton (Shelley) of Texas, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m.
