Jay F. Buechley, Jr., age 91, of Jacksonville, Ark., took his final flight on March 26, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay Buechley, Sr. and Vera Maye (Gore) Buechley, his wife Ruth, twin brothers John and Tom, and his daughter-in-law Donna.  He is survived by his daughters Marcella Dalla Rosa (Marvin) and Jennifer Clem, his son John Buechley, a granddaughter Chelsea Tyson (Caleb) and great-grandson Eli.

Jay retired after 22 years as an Air Force pilot, flying KC-135 tankers all over the world.  Upon retirement he graduated from UALR with an accounting degree and spent another 22 years as a CPA in Little Rock.  Following his second retirement, Jay focused on volunteer work at the Jacksonville Care Channel and honed his bread-making skills to fine art.  He found special joy in spending time with his family, especially when the Razorbacks were playing.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church at 308 W. Main Street, Jacksonville, Ark.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jay's honor to the Jacksonville Care Channel, 201 N.
