Jerry Wade Knueppel, 75, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026 at Springhill Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock. He was born on August 24, 1950 in Gilley, Kentucky. He was the only son of Hazel and Harold Knueppel.

As a VA disabled Navy veteran, Jerry spent over 35 years as a DAV Volunteer Service Officer assisting veterans and their families with VA disability claims. He had a passion and was dedicated to help as many veterans as he could. He was presented with many awards over the years for his dedication from South Carolina and Florida State DAV officers.

Jerry had a unique way of making people feel cared for without needing to say much. He centered his life around family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Hazel and Harold Knueppel. He is survived by his loving wife, Tanae R. Knueppel of Jacksonville.

Jerry will be remembered for his generosity, quick wit and deep love of family and friends.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
