Msgt. (Ret) Joseph (Sarge) E. Platt passed on November 17, 2021. After decades of service to country and family, Sarge Platt rejoined the love of his life, Priscilla Platt, who preceded him in 1993.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter. He is survived by his two sons, two daughters, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and his faithful buddy, the family Basset Hound, who stood watch over him until the end.  A proud man, he wanted to be remembered as he lived and asked that no viewing or services be held in his behalf with his ashes scattered near Newport, RI, the final resting place of Priscilla.  The family has asked that in lieu of flowers or other memorials that donations be made to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge to continue their work in large cat and other animal rescues.  Such donations can be made via their website at https://www.turpentinecreek.org/support-us/donate/ or by calling the refuge located near Eureka Springs, Arkansas at 479-253-5841.  Memorial donations may also be mailed to TCWR, 239 Turpentine Creek Lane, Eureka Springs, AR 72632.
