Joy Ann Hefner, age 72, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away February 9, 2026. She was born at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on January 20, 1954 to the late Leonard and Virginia Peterson.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Corey Brothers.

She is survived by her daughters, Angela (Kenneth) Gay and Shawn (Jason) Epperson; grandchildren, Christina (Zach) Mulligan, Chistopher Gay, Kenneth (Jessica) Gay, Kevin (Madalynn) Gay, and Kendall (Randy) Bloom; and grandchildren, Hayden, Ayden, Maddyson, Kenley, Eli, Tayler, Rebecca, MacKenzie, and Isaac.
