Judy Kay Parker, 76, of Forrest City, Arkansas passed away March 22, 2024. She was born October 8, 1947 to the late Mary Christine Dillard and Walter Stine. She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Jim Parker, and a sister, Kathy Warren. Judy was a nurse for the past 30 years and cared for patients in a multitude of settings all across northeast Arkansas.
Left to cherish Judy's memory are her daughter, Renee Parker, her son, Randall Parker (Anisabel), her sisters Linda Rippeto, Jo Ann Gray (Charlie Huckaba), Rhonda Brewton (Don), Janet Daniels, and a bonus sister, Linda Allen. She also leaves her best friend and companion for the last 13 years, Darrell Astin. Also remaining are a host of nieces and nephews, a step-grandchild, Vittoria, and innumerable church family members and friends.
Judy battled many health problems over the past 15 years, but she never let them get the best of her. She continued to work full-time until she began to experience multiple organ failure about 4 weeks ago. Judy was an active member of First Baptist Church in Forrest City, Arkansas, where she oversaw the Clothes Closet and the Happy Dayers senior adult fellowship.
A visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024 followed by a memorial service beginning 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Forrest City. The family asks in lieu of flowers, that a charitable donation be made to the Happy Dayers at FBC.
